Miss Maëlle Guennec
“My name is Maëlle Guennec. I come from a lovely place in Brittany, France. In 2020, I decided to move to England to study in the renowned European School of Osteopathy (ESO) in Kent. My love for the human body and its physiology led me to discover the wonders of this beautiful profession.
I have been treating patients for over two years now and I developed a genuine interest in Women’s health. I love to open conversations about post-partum, urinary incontinence, endometriosis, etc. Additionally, I hold a diploma in Dry Needling and Western Medical Acupuncture which enhances my holistic approach to the human body.
I enjoy using a wide variety of osteopathic techniques, such as spinal manipulation, joint mobilisation and soft tissue massage, as well as cranial and visceral approaches. I believe in a transparent and collaborative approach to treatment. I will always ensure that I gain consent and check your understanding before attempting any treatment.
My journey into Osteopathy began with a personal experience of back injury due to intense swimming and dance training. This experience, combined with the Osteopathic philosophy of “finding the health, not the disease,” shapes my practice. While a precise diagnosis is crucial for setting realistic expectations, I believe in empowering patients with education and exercises to support their recovery. A condition does not define a person, it is the individual behind the condition that motivates me daily.”

Mr Chongsu Lee MSc, MCSP, BEng
Chongsu Lee is a physiotherapist with a unique background in engineering. After a career as a troubleshooting engineer for Hyundai in Seoul, his passion for health led him to qualify as a physiotherapist from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh in 2010.
Since then, Chongsu has focused on manual physiotherapy, specializing in chronic back pain, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), and Parkinson’s Disease. His expertise in MS led to a clinical case study and a Medical Research Scotland-funded PhD project at Napier University, and his work was covered in major media outlets, including The Sunday Times.
Bridging his engineering and physiotherapy skills, Chongsu developed BackHug, a back therapy device with robotic fingers designed to replicate his manual spinal joint work. Today at The Manual Therapy Clinic, he uses his physiotherapy expertise to advise patients on their specific health issues, including, where appropriate, advice on how to get treatment from his BackHug device. He is also the author of Aches and Pains Secrets, a book describing his personal health journey and deeply held convictions regarding how to live a healthy life.
