“My name is Maëlle Guennec. I come from a lovely place in Brittany, France. In 2020, I decided to move to England to study in the renowned European School of Osteopathy (ESO) in Kent. My love for the human body and its physiology led me to discover the wonders of this beautiful profession.
I have been treating patients for over two years now and I developed a genuine interest in Women’s health. I love to open conversations about post-partum, urinary incontinence, endometriosis, etc. Additionally, I hold a diploma in Dry Needling and Western Medical Acupuncture which enhances my holistic approach to the human body.
I enjoy using a wide variety of osteopathic techniques, such as spinal manipulation, joint mobilisation and soft tissue massage, as well as cranial and visceral approaches. I believe in a transparent and collaborative approach to treatment. I will always ensure that I gain consent and check your understanding before attempting any treatment.
My journey into Osteopathy began with a personal experience of back injury due to intense swimming and dance training. This experience, combined with the Osteopathic philosophy of “finding the health, not the disease,” shapes my practice. While a precise diagnosis is crucial for setting realistic expectations, I believe in empowering patients with education and exercises to support their recovery. A condition does not define a person, it is the individual behind the condition that motivates me daily.”

Let me to introduce myself.
With over 10 years of experience in the physical rehabilitation sector, I have always had a clear goal in mind:
Improving people’s quality of life
Due to this simple, but challenging moto, I have been continuously training in different specialities whereby upgrading my knowledge to the highest level for a quick and accurate diagnosis, followed by the best technical treatment with optimum results.
I completed my degree in Physiotherapy in 2010 at the University of Murcia, my hometown, in Spain. On top of that, I hold a 5 years postgraduate degree (2011-2017) from the Osteopath School of Madrid, achieving the osteopath certificate C.O.
My passion for manual therapy drove me to learn Orthopaedic Chiropractic techniques for a year too.

I have additionally completed further training and I have got experience working in water therapy, mostly by applying thalassotherapy on people with neurological conditions.
Moreover, I am a certified therapeutic Pilates instructor with 4 years of experience working in some of the best clinics of manual therapy and Pilates in Madrid.
After moving to the beautiful city of Edinburgh in 2017, I have been working with some of the best therapists in the city and I have also worked with the “Strictly came dancing” professional dancers. Such a great experience!
My personal hobbies include martial arts, particularly judo, with more than 15 years of continuous practice.
I also enjoy dancing Argentinian tango and Cuban salsa and I often join the lovely Scottish dancers’ community on my free time.
However, since the current situation makes these activities unavailable, I have discovered the joy of gym training, with a particulate interest in practicing CrossFit.
